Andrew's Own Certified Organic Egyptian Golden Chamomile "Tea" "Tea," but not really Tea ? You will notice that we always place quotation marks around the word "tea" when referring to our Organic Egyptian Golden Chamomile Blossom "tea." That is because technically, Chamomile "tea" is not a true tea. It is actually an infusion and although most of us refer to it as an "herbal tea," it is really not tea at all. Technically for something to be called "tea," it must come from the Camellia sinensis plant. That plant is responsible for all the green, black, oolong and other varieties of tea. Beverages that are made by infusing other plants are more properly referred to as Herbal Infusions or Tisanes, but no matter what you call it, our Organic Egyptian Golden Chamomile Blossom "Tea" is a uniquely refreshing treat. There are more than two dozen species of plants in the mint family. Peppermint, (Mentha piperita), is a hybrid combination of spearmint and water mint and is, without question, the most popular of all varieties of mint. Traditionally, Peppermint has been used not just for its uniquely fresh aroma and flavor, but also for its soothing properties, particularly for the digestive system. These calming properties have been recognized for thousands of years by diverse cultures around the world. Today, we find Peppermint in everything from breath mints and tooth paste to chewing gum, mouthwash and air fresheners. For thousands of years, Chamomile was used traditionally throughout Europe and Asia for its soothing and relaxing properties. Chamomile gets its name from the Greek, chamos and melos, meaning "earth" and "apple" which is a reference to the fact that it grows close to the ground (earth) and it possesses an apple-like fragrance. Chamomile was a widely used relaxing remedy enjoyed by the ancient Egyptians, Greeks and Romans. Today, modern science has validated Chamomile's calming properties that can help us with our stressful lives while also supporting restful sleep and soothing an uneasy digestive system. Chamomile's relaxing properties, along with its sweet, delicious flavor have seen it become one of the world's most popular, naturally caffeine-free herbal "teas."

A lovely mild but still full bodied green tea~
I have enjoyed this tea daily for years. Each bag makes a quart if left to steep until room temperature without any bitterness. This is the only green tea I have found that can be left steeped overnight on the counter that hasn't become 'gamey" the next day. (Not that I do that.)
I would appreciate having this available in loose leaf. Thanks so much Andrew!

Best and smoothest jasmine tea
Have tried MANY jasmine teas from restaurants and grocery, and speciality stores. This by far is the most superior in taste !
The anti-oxidents is an additional benefit. Just put in a second order for a larger box.

Love This Tea!!!!
I have never been a coffee drinker and decided years ago that I should probably learn to like tea because of the health benefits it provides. I use a number of Andrew's products and decided to try this tea. It is awesome! I was expecting to have to get used to the taste (as I never liked tea before). It tasted great from the very 1st sip. I have a cup of this tea every single morning and have enjoyed it for many years (have previously purchased on HSN but found it cheaper here). I love that I found something that is good for me that also tastes great! I highly recommend this tea.
